ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ripsnorter "Wiping Out the Human Race"

The end is here! The new full-length CD from Ripsnorter "Wiping Out the Human Race" is now available on Mushroom Cloud Records. Three years in the making - sixteen tracks consisting of almost an hour of old-school, eighties-style hardcore, metal and punk rawk - covering a span of over a decade of song writing. Includes a cover of Broken Bones "Death is Imminent". Enhanced multimedia CD with live video, recording session pics, and unreleased songs. The first 200 have ltd. ed. transparent red CD tray.

RIPSNORTER: adj; archaic slang: a violently energetic or noisily outspoken person; something extreme; something or some person of extraordinary violence or power; someone of exceptional merit or quality.

R!PSNORTER has been playing aggressive and energized music since 1994. It can be described as a blend of punk rock, classic old school eighties-style hardcore and horrorpunk infused with genres ranging from metal and industrial to rockabilly. The end result is some really kickass, time-enduring rawk music.

Ripsnorter does not stick to one overall formula for music. Experimenting with a variety of music genres and styles is what keeps the songs fresh and at times, unexpected. The members write songs ranging over a broad base of style and content. The subject matter is as diverse as their individual and collective interests and beliefs. Some songs carry messages, others are written simply for the hell of it. One song may carry a social commentary another about the human psyche and the next would deal with dead things eating brains. This diversity keeps the members challenged and keeps crowds interested in what's coming next. It also has mass appeal to different audiences.

Ear Protection required! Live shows are charged with energy and are incredibly LOUD! Ripsnorter cannot be held responsible for blown out eardrums or cases of faces being completely ripped off of skulls. You have been warned. Ripsnorter has played shows for national and international acts. Bla bla bla.

Rip it up!

Ka-Boom!
The 16 tracks of face smashing chaos that are on this album will do just as the title says and completely obliterate you into ash! These guys from MN can tear it up with the best of them. This CD is a definite must for any fans of thrash/hardcore/punk!

Worth It!
This disc HURTS! It's a nice combo of metal and punk horror core even though I wish thry'd hone in on either one or the other. The production is better than most discs of the same genre. They're always fun to see live and the disc reminds me of that sort of fun and energy. (CD Universe Review).
