The title song, "Take This Heart" was written by Laini after her 2nd marriage of 25 years ended. In it she shares those deep moments when life begins to turn around for the better.
On Could I Have This Dance?, during a musical interlude, Laini shares the story of her parents and their relationship with music.

A CD you'll never grow tired of

I love the way Laini's strong, clear voice interprets these songs. Her version of Blue far exceeds that of the original artist. Laini sings it like it should be sung, by a woman who has experienced blue times. This CD in particular is a perfect roadtrip companion. Actually, it was the first place I listened to the CD. It accompanied me on my travels around California. She helped make it a great trip!
