“The RITE Band” is a studio project whose members are anonymous and choose to stay that way when it comes to the limelight. Aside from this anomaly, there’s no mystery about the quality of their new album, "Seriously", which is an intensely-interesting and emotionally-charged instrumental soundtrack that’s a real winner. Now, if only someone from the “The RITE Band” would stand up and take a bow?
We recently found out from an (anonymous) fan, that “The RITE Band” may be the 4 original members of a San Fernando Valley, California high school band called, “Al & The Cyclones.” According to the album cover photo, they would be from left-to-right: Larry (bass guitar), Al (lead guitar/midi), Steve (drums/percussion) & Bill (rhythm guitar).
Apparently, this band was headed for “stardom” when life happened. First came a taste of fame, then women, drugs & alcohol, accompanied with bloated ego’s, eventually caused the band to grow apart for many years only to find themselves musically lost; working separately with major artists but never really satisfying their musical destiny.
Thus, the resurrection of “The RITE Band” with their current “don’t ask and don’t tell” policy designed to keep industry spin and public chaos OUT; while keeping the primary focus on the music IN. It's been a long and hard road with lots of lessons learned and the resulting emotions are expressed notably in the music for sure.
I say...no matter WHO these guys are or WHERE they came from, I'm glad to have the opportunity to enjoy the sound and reap the benefits of this band's past brought in to the present. (WE HOPE)"Seriously" will only be the 1st of many albums to come. Please enjoy..."The RITE Band".
