Authentic and great!

I bought this for my husband on our anniversary, and he really loves it! The people who made this CD from old authentic recordings didn't do a great deal to perfect the audio restoration, so the sound quality isn't as good as that of a modern jazz CD, but the songs can still be heard quite clearly, and in some ways that not-perfect quality adds to the appeal; it even more strongly evokes a sense of visiting a bygone era.

Tak e a ride on a riverboat - or at least listen to the music

Important historical recording, with many riverboat songs we'd never heard before, including a riverboat version of "Casey Jones." They clearly did not do a lot of audio restoration,but we bought it for the songs. The songs are a lot of fun, and bring back the romance of the riverboat era.
