This is Rivercat's 6th independent release...The idea 4 Voodoo cadillac came from my time spent in New Orleans...one of my fav cities....the original title was swampafied..but there was already a cd with that title...The voodoo cadillac idea came from a great song written by Southern Culture on the skids of the same name...I covered their song but made it a little bit moreswampy...(John fogerty)...so as i recorded the album I had that whole louisiana vibe in mind...I know I did'nt cover all the musical aspects of that great city...but i did my best....the last track Oh Katrina..is a reminder of how those people sufferedand survived...
