PASSION

It is a desire that surpasses our individual will and succumbs to a will greater than our own. Jesus’ sufferings at the cross are certainly the only true passionate moments in history.

Ray (R-Kaid) prays daily and believes that God has blessed him with a passion for the hearts of people that emulates that of Christ‘s on Calvary. It is out of obedience to the Father that Ray uses his God given talents as a lyricist, a producer, and a performer to impact the masses with the Good News.

At the age of seventeen Ray was facing serious time in prison. He was placed in an alternative boot camp program that forever changed his life. Discipline, honor, and the value of Christian principle, are a few of the many things he learned while in this rehabilitation program. As a result, Ray accepted Christ as his Savior and has since been dedicated to learning what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. He has appeared on a nation wide talk show to speak to troubled teens and is very active in the youth group ministry at his home church.

His debut album, Headlines, released in November of 2008, is a compilation of tracks boldly proclaiming the lordship of Jesus Christ. The sound that is created by the artistic blend of crisp beats, catching hooks, and prophetic lyrics, is one that breaks generational barriers and is enjoyed by multitudes. Ray is committed to living a life “lettin’ ‘em know who Jesus is,” and “penetratin’ night with some Light.”
