Catchy melodies are paired with lyrics that are intelligent, honest, and often funny on this excellent debut album. Drawing on a wide range of influences from alt-country to power pop, Kiel writes songs that appeal to both the head and the heart.

Album Notes

Rachel Kiel grew up tap dancing, playing the flute, and listening extensively to her parents' record collection in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After hearing enough Paul Simon, she decided it was time to also try singing and writing songs that were funny and sad at the same time. She has played with a number of bands, including the Stranger Spirits, Edensong, Semi-Formal, and Noko Yono & The Arctic Hares. She currently performs locally in North Carolina with the band Attic Orchestra.
