Ray's and Wanelle's new CD kicks off with a toe-tapping tune written by Larry G. Hudson of Macon, GA,
"Big Boys Do Cry--Good Girls Give In".
Their voices deliver the goods with the help of backup vocalist Kathy Lee Jarrell and some of the most talented and respected musicians in Nashville, Charlie Vaughn, Steve Hill, John Hughey, Willie Rainsford, and Kenny Janson.
Buck Jarrell, owner of the recording studio, Buck's Place, mixed and mastered the CD as only he can giving it that "unmistakable Nashville sound".
We first met Steve Hill, Charlie Vaughn, and Kenny Janson while singing at The Nashville Palace and at the Nashville Nightlife dinner theaters on Music Valley Drive in Nashville TN. Through Kenny's encouragement, we went to Nashville to record this CD. Kenny coordinated the recording event and gathered all of the fabulous musicians who played with us.
Charlie Vaughn charted our songs and had everything in order to record bright and early one Tuesday morning in May at Buck Jarrell's studio. It was quite an event for us when we walked into the studio and saw all of those great Nashville musicians there ready to record with us! By 6:30 that evening all of the "scratch" vocals and final musicians' sound tracks had been recorded. Early the next morning we started recording our final voice tracks, and by late afternoon we were ready for Kathy Lee Jarrell to add her awesome backup vocals to some of our songs.
Later that evening, Charlie Vaughn added his masterful fiddle and final guitar runs to the product, and it was ready to mix and master. Buck Jarrell did his magic and gave us this exciting CD with that captivating "Nashville sound".
The quality and diversity of the songs recorded on our CD make it wonderfully unique, and we believe you will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it.
