Maryann and Ron visited Honolulu for the first time in 1976 and fell in love with the city. It was exciting and at the same time it had a tropical beauty. Ron found a song that he starting writing when he was just 11 years old, Maryann heard the song and the melody spoke of Honolulu. The lyrics were so easy as she sang O My Sweet Honolulu your my city of beauty and the rest is history.

Maryann and Ron performed and produced O My Sweet Honolulu in 1982, it aired that year on KCCN in Honolulu. In 1984 the late Loyal Garner re-recorded their song and was found on her album "More than just a song." Today you can hear Maryann and Ron's production on Aloha Joe Internet Radio and is available through CD Baby.
