Album Notes

The CD audiobook, "The Song of Giraldus," presents passages from my novel of that name, read by Haydn Lewis Gilmore and Carl Wagner. The novel imagines the twelfth & thirteenth-century historian, Giraldus Cambrensis, telling his life as a reminiscence of all the great men and women he has known. He wanted to be one of them himself, but failed to win consecration as Bishop of St. David's. He did win the friendship of a saint, Bishop Hugh of Lincoln, whose courage and truth are a counterpoint to the bitter world of Giraldus.
