"I got the impression of love songs for robots living in a post-apocalyptic, anti-utopian future society. This heavily piano-driven album lays down stark, stride grooves straight out of the 30s with tin-pan alley blues riffs, psychotic synth bass ala NIN, and sparse electronic drums that crank out evil disjointed rhythms. The contrast of discordant piano riffs with flawlessly beautiful progressions makes this album really work as a whole. I hear a lot of Bowie and Eurythmics creeping in the shadows of this extraordinary album."
