Album Notes

rnb is a soulful vocalist, songwriter and poet whose work places emphasis on the power of melody, lyrics and meaningful messages. Born and raised in Ft. Wash, MD, rnb is named after the music that groomed him as an adolescent. Upon moving to NYC seven years back to study the visual arts, the city also helped him give birth to his music.

Over the past 7 years he has both organized and performed song and spoken word at various venues in NYC including Crash Mansion, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Nell's, Sola's, I.O's, Bowery Poetry Club, Nightingales, The Knitting Factory, Urban Erotica and various local colleges/universities. More recently, he hosted monthly showcases, which included a live band, at The Five Spot in Brooklyn.

His debut album "The Green Room" was recently released off of the Musical Green Label. The music is comprised of rich lyrics supported by innovative musical compositions that channel old school R&B. The album is an interpretation of his life’s journey over the past few years. On July 3rd he released his album with a great performance/party at the Crash Mansion, NYC. rnb plans to continuing performing around the NYC area and is working on performing abroad.

His music speaks of dedication and love where metaphor and wordplay come to the forefront and convention goes to the back.
