I was born in Ewa, Hawaii, a little sugar plantation town on the island of Oahu. I am of Japanese ancestry and Hawaiian by culture. While growing up, I was strongly influenced by the Beatles, Eagles, Hall & Oates, CCR, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, Steely Dan, Phil Collins and Rod Stewart. Music was a big part of my childhood and past. Since my dad played the guitar and my two older sisters and I loved to sing so much, it doesn't surprise me that I decided to pursue a music career much later in my life. Music was, and still is, a big part of our family gatherings. I love all kinds of music with good beats and a great story that can stir up my emotions. My singing and songwriting today, is a reflection of my past, so eclectic in style and a mirror of my personality. I really believe that it's never too late to go for your dreams! I wanna be a rock star! Enjoy my music!
