Robbie Schaefer, guitarist and songwriter for the acclaimed folk rock band Eddie From Ohio, strikes out on his own with his first solo album since 2004. "Strange and Lovely World" is a 13-song collection that explores the nature of relationship, transition, and spirituality. The album, recorded in Charlottesville, Virginia, features producer/multi-instrumentalist John Jennings (Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Catie Curtis, John Gorka), Dave Mattacks (Richard Thompson, Roseanne Cash) on drums, and guest appearances from Ellis Paul and Red Molly.

A refreshing take on acoustic rock

This is a thoughtful, lyrical album from a very talented songwriter and musician. Robbie's words are both lighthearted and heartfelt, touching on relationships, places, and characters with honesty and sometimes painful clarity. The production is clean and rich, and Robbie's singing is a joy to listen to. It's an album to savor and share with friends--highly recommended!
