ALBUM REVIEW:
Lullabies and Little Ditties - Robb Montgomery
South Florida Parenting, Chicago, Ill.
Published September, 2002

By Vicki MCash

Montgomery, a newspaper editor by day, guitarist and songwriter by night, wrote the songs on this album for his daughters Kellis and McKayla Skye, who was born the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. The decision to make an album came as a result of the emotions of that day. 'My priorities were suddenly shifted,"Montgomery says in press materials.

But don't discount this as the work of an amateur. While Montgomery has not quit his day job, he sings as though he's been a professional his entire life. The songs show a polished musicianship that is rare in amateur albums. Every cut pours out the love of a father for his children that any child -or parent - can appreciate.

The CD is available in some stores and at www.kidvibe.com for $15.98 ($11.98 on cassette).
