ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
ABOUT THE SINGER/SONGWRITER

Rob decided to make his music available on CD Baby because friends were asking for additional copies after wearing their's out. Their feedback was encouraging and in some cases so enthusiastic about how much they loved his music that it became clear he should try to find a way reach a broader audience. After doing some homework, Rob selected CD Baby as the obvious choice to work with.

While still in his teens, Rob learned some basic guitar chords so he could play in a band with a girl he liked. Soon he was creating melodies and writing the lyrics to go with them. He kept playing as a hobby and more songs followed. Through career, marriage, raising children and life, songs continued to appear. Finally, with a large birthday looming and having lost his lifelong friend Bill who had encouraged him to do so, Rob decided to record a few of those songs. The result is “Together,” a compilation of original songs written by Rob over the past few decades. He also sings the lead vocals.

Personal Note From Rob

The songs in Together reflect emotions ranging from despair to happiness to everlasting love. They are about special people whose lives intersected with mine and added to the fabric of my life this time around. It came to me that it was time to hear these songs in their full glory, enhanced by the best musicianship and technology that I could attract. It was a thrilling experience, I am more than happy with the effort and most of all, I hope that you enjoy the results. My deepest thanks to Adam, James, Damian, Marc and Steven for their dedication, professionalism and the sheer fun they brought to the project. I’ll always be grateful that the stars aligned to attract such a stellar band to my personal quest. Special above and beyond thanks to Adam Chalk, the immensely talented “Music Man,” who was so instrumental (smile) in making my music come alive.

Together
Greeting, Since this is the first day that my CD is available on CD Baby, I thought it only appropriate that I should give it the first review. I LIKE IT(smile) and must admit to having listened to it way more than anyone would deem normal, continuing to do so and still enjoying it. I hope you do too. Best wishes, Rob

I love this album... I have it at work and I listen all day long to it. My favorite song is the caliptso sounding "Born to be a Lover". I have other favorites, like All to Myself and Turned on to loving you. The guys often tell me that the music gets them in the mood to be with their ladies... KEEP Truckin like Eddie Kendricks... Love the Rob Davis Band...
