Both my business partner and I love this CD
author: Huey Lewis Accountant San JoseAfter 35 years of accountanting, I get bored with elevator music. I heard Fly my from Nowhere and it is a smash! It helps me finish the books buy April 15th
Edgy urban rap, back spitting gansta poems
author: Ben CohenRobert Donnay has a high voice for a dude, but the energy he be throwing into cuts like " Muther call me Brutha" and " Pachouli scented crack pipe" makes your spine gyrate and your hips start to sway.
Solo Guitar stylings mixed with spoken word
author: Donnay SmithGreat angst poetry here, from "Karma is a 5 letter word" to "Momma loved you more". This is the fabric weaving index of a Bohemian heart gone a flutter!OK vocals but fantastic drums and even greater guitar!
Perhaps the greatest CD in the last 10 years!
author: Billy DonnayONCE IN A WHILE, A TRUE GENIOS COMES ALONG. ROBERTA DONNAY IS THAT GENIOS. SHE IS THE MOST BRILLIANT SINGER IN THIS COUNTRY TO DATE.I WOULD GUESS THAT SHE IS TRAVELING IN LARGE CIRCLES NOW. I KNOW SHEIS DEAR FRIENDS WITH MICK JAGGER, ELTON JOHN AND MADONNA, BUT SHE IS MORE TALENTED THAN ALL OF THEM PUT TOGETHER!
Awesome! Roberta Donnay soars above the rest-- makes us think Dylan & Simon
author: Jenny & John A.We are so blown away by this CD! The songs are eclectic, full of angst one minute (Crack in the Sidewalk; Jody), soulful the next (This Train; Canada), great words (Fly Me in From Nowhere)and use of vocal calesthenics that are beyond all but the truly great vocalists (Streisand, Aretha, Warwick) yet with an ethereal quality that belies the technique. Every song is poetic. This is an album not for the masses, but for those of us who abhor the silent majority (I Will Not be Blind), not to be taken lightly!!!!
It's in my alarm clock CD player so I wake up to it every morning!
author: Steven GellerThis CD totally kick-starts my day. Lot of energy and punch. Great vocals! Intelligent lyrics! What more could you ask for?!!!!
Why hasn't EVERYONE bought this CD? Can't stop playing it.
author: DavidQuickThere are so many great songs on this CD .. from Crack in the Sidewalk all the way to Ain't got You. I Will Not Be Blind and Graffiti are particularly fine. Can you tell I love it?
She almost sang at my wedding
author: Lisa DanielsWe picked another band, but I'm happy she did a CD.
What she lacks in vocals she makes up for in storytelling
author: Beverly GefnerRoberta Donnay may not have the greatset voice known to man.But her storytelling gifts are strong. Her "done me wrong" angst pours out of every song. When she sings about the pain of lost karma, you almost feel it!
