Album Notes

Robert Blaylock began playing guitar at age 12, under the tutelage of the late, great Jerry Fields. As he honed his craft as a guitarist, singer and songwriter, Robert taught himself piano, mandolin, drums and harmonica. Robert was the music director at Emmaus Community Church in Midlothian, VA for four years. Prior to his stint at Emmaus, he was a lead worshiper and guitarist at Trinity Assembly of God in Chesterfield County. Robert has written more than forty Christian songs -- mostly praise & worship songs. He is currently involved in the praise team at Ridge Baptist Church in Richmond\'s West End, singing and playing bass guitar. He also continues to head up the Emmaus Worship Band, which ministers in various outreach settings in the Richmond area.

\"Blues for Jesus\" is Robert\'s first album. An eclectic combination of blues, jazz, rock, country, and American folk styles is woven together into this collection of praise-and-worship songs with a classic rock feel.

Robert is also a member of the Richmond VA-based secular classic rock band Mozo.
