Album Notes

The Robert Bobby Quartet was formed in the early 1990's in Lancaster, PA. Basically, Marshall Jones -guitar, John Schatt-bass & Dave Galligan-drums had a band they called the Chilly Dolphins. I was looking for a backup band & they agreed & we formed The Robert Bobby Quartet.

After a few years Marshall Jones decided to move to Florida. I wanted to get a recording of our sound before he left town, so I contacted the owner of the Chameleon Club in Lancaster to see if we could come in on an off day & use their stage to make some recordings. The owner, Rich Ruoff, said he was all for it and one day we set up our equipment & recorded these 10 Robert Bobby originals live to 2 track DAT. There are no over dubs. This is how we
sounded when we played live. I've been listening to the tapes for about 10 years now & I've always like them so I decided to get some pressed into cds -newly arrived November ,2004.

Over the last ten years I have recorded some folkier versions of some of these tunes on my F*U*B*A*R cd and S*N*A*F*U. Hope you like the sound. Robert Bobby
