ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Robert Jackson-Twilight Theatre is a double cd set which mixes rock, hard rock, metal music with spoken word narrative. Each song is introduced by a narrative "tale". Twilight Theatre is a concept cd presenting a chronological timeline of the history of the paranormal, supernatural, horror and sci-fi from Stonehenge all the way up to modern day ufo sightings stopping along the way for visitations from witches, zombies, ghosts, gypsies, monsters, etc. The Cd set will accompany a live theatrical stage act where the Twilight Theatre characters will come to life. The idea being that the corporate record business and huge radio conglomerates have tried to kill off rock and roll and that pop culture is consuming itself so rapidly that rock is now being killed off by its very creators(record companies and radio). Well you can't kill rock and roll and here come the monsters of Twilight Theatre crawling up out of the graves dug by these companies to prove that rock can not be killed and to hit you all over the head with one more time. The Twilight Theatre characters become the Frankenstein monster coming after its creator while other bits and pieces of the rock era's pop culture(AOR rock, Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, Night Gallery, Night of the living dead) are evident in the cd and stage show. The end statement being modern pop culture is consuming itself so rapidly that rock is now being killed off by its very creators(once innovative FM rock radio programmers and record companies.) In the live theatrical stage act of Twilight Theatre Mr. Goodvil (depicted on the cover) is the host of the show. He is part good and part evil, hence his name and wearing white and black clothing. Some musical influences of the cd are: Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Roky Erickson, Pink Floyd meets Night of the living dead, X Files, Twilight Zone, Night Gallery.

Robert Jackson is an ASCAP award winning recording artist. His prior CD Personal Jesus reveived commercial radio rotation nationally and charted on CMJ top 30 radio and European top 50 commercial radio charts as well as receiving favorable press. Jackson's music has been also heard on United Airlines, United Artists movie theatres nationally. The video Personal Jesus was syndicated nationally on 4 networks including UPN Paramount and seen on such shows as Top 40 videos LA.
