Album Notes

From the lush surrounds of Australia’s NSW north coast Robert Keith has emerged as a significant singer/songwriter with the release of his debut solo album, Face The World. Recorded in Brisbane under the guidance of respected producer, Michael Flanders, the album features twelve original tracks showcasing the diverse nature of Rob’s vocal ability and songwriting talent. A contemporary country album, the songs have broad appeal with everyday themes about life and love which strike a chord with a wider audience. The first single, A Cowboy Never Cries, was released to radio on November, 2004 and has been well received both in Australia and overseas.

Robert grew up in Sydney, Australia where his early musical influences included Billy Joel, Crowded House and The Beatles. After discovering artists like Keith Urban, James Blundell, Garth Brooks and Graeme Connors Robert was drawn to the genre and began writing and performing country music. With a genuine passion for modern country and a natural inclination for melody and harmony the result is an album full of songs that stay in your head and a diversity that holds the listener’s interest from the first track to the last.

Two further singles have since been released to radio and video clips for A Cowboy Never Cries and This Time Love have appeared regularly on Australia’s Country Music Channel through pay-TV provider Foxtel/Austar.

As a performer, Robert has gained a reputation as a quality entertainer for his ability to connect with his audience and captivate them with his smooth, expressive vocal style and charismatic stage presence. He is an accomplished guitarist and keyboard player and coupled with his distinctive voice, good looks, and endearing personality offers a refreshing alternative in today’s country music scene.

A definite must-play CD
author: Kathy Kozakewich
Robert Keith's CD "Face the World" is a true delight! It is a wonderful compilation of country / folk songs that reach out to the listener's heart; each track has its own message and the whole works magic. The music complements the lyrics wonderfully and Robert's voice is the icing on the cake. So smooth and yet with a slight edge to it that is so real ~ I could listen to him sing for hours. A couple of the tracks ~ 'A Cowboy Never Cries' and 'Don't You Cry' ~ are songs that I can listen to over and over. However, there's one song ~ 'Answers' ~ that just gets to me on a basic emotional level every single time; for sure it is on my list of all-time favourite songs. This is definitely one of my must-play CD's. Thank you Robert for the gift of your music.

I listened to Roberts songs just by chance and was very surprised and taken back by the quality of his music. Normally this is not my type of music but his words spoke to me. This man has a heart and soul and a carefree style you can relate to. I wish him the best in his career.
