A founding member of the legendary 'Rock with Horns' band CHICAGO, Robert has lived the changes that have occurred in the band and the world of music. This Rock band, which began as an experiment in 1967, has alternately broken new musical ground, set trends, fallen into disfavor, rebounded and continued to be amazingly successful, constantly touring in the USA and Internationally. CHICAGO has a permanent and influential place in the mainstream of Pop/ Rock.
Robert's presence and participation has had much impact.
His list of HIT songs include such classics as: "Does Anybody Really know What Time It Is?", "Beginnings", "Questions 67 & 68", "Free", "25 or 6 to 4", "Another Rainy Day in New York City", "Harry Truman", "Saturday in the Park" among many others.
He has also had an active solo career with FOUR well received albums:
"SKINNY BOY" (Columbia)
"LIFE IS GOOD IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD" (Warner)
"IN MY HEAD" (Blue Infinity Music)
"SUBTLETY&PASSION" (Blue Infinity Music)
Roberts' solo activities have brought interaction with a wide range of other musicians, an experience which he treasures. Stylistically, his music is in the domain of Urban Pop / Art Pop / World Music, which reflect his openness to all music.
He has a worldwide fan-base. Robert recently performed a live concert in Auckland, New Zealand which was filmed and recorded for a DVD release in the coming year.
This new release "TOO MANY VOICES" is actually a re-working of "IN MY HEAD" which had received "4-Star" reviews when initially issued in 1999. But this new CD includes no fewer than 6 additional tracks, featuring guest artists Phoebe Snow and Smoothjazz Trumpter Chris Botti.

I have been a Robert Lamm fan since I was a teenager. I don't know what took me so long to listen to his solo work. I LOVE IT. He really is an amazing artist. I love his style, his creativity, and his sensitivity. I highly recommend this CD and I am very impressed with CD BABY, as well.

I love Lamm`s music, to me one of the Fab Four, the others three are Wilson,MacCartney and Bacharach. Es un tipo inteligente y generoso y aquĆ tenemos una muestra de su buen hacer y saber adaptarse a los nuevos sonidos y estilos pero siempre con su particular estilo. Too many voices but only one Robert Lamm`s voice.

Solid Effort with a few surprises

This cd is a little varied musically and has some nice duets with Robert and Phoebe Snow. However, their cover version of "Good Lovin' Ain't Easy To Come By is just attrociously baad!
