Album Notes

"One of Vancouver's most gifted songwriters"
Tom Zillich , The Westender,

At 27 years old, Robert Wilson has seen his share of the bazaar. Raised in the Canadian far north, he rode a dog sled at the age of 5. His 18th Birthday found him in Malaysia selling his belongings to buy a bus ticket. At 21 he was in New York city arresting car thieves with The Guardian Angels community policing organization, and by 24 he was busking the Picadilly line on the London Underground At 26 he released his first full length CD - 'Thin Man. '

Robert Wilson, one of Vancouver's favourite artists, captures that rare combination of up tempo melodies and great lyrics. "Sharp edged acoustic pop, crafted with wit and inner turmoil," says CBC Radio. (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)

Throughout countless performances from street corners to nightclubs, Wilson has developed a savvy and intimate style that is both melancholy and celebratory, often at the same time.

Wilson's accomplishments include nominations for the Georgia Straight and West Coast Music Awards (as both musician and producer) and contributions to the soundtracks of various Canadian film projects, His first full-length recording, Thin Man, was released to a sold-out house and critical acclaim. He has also completed successful European and West Coast tours.

Robert Wilson is a master storyteller with engaging yarns to spin, energetic melodies, and a voice that's cozy as Linus's blanket.

Amazing!
author: Jayne
I first heard Think That You're the One in a movie called Decoys. I fell in love with the sound and the music, he truly has an amazing voice, nothing like I've ever heard before. I watch that same scene in Decoys over and over just to hear the song. I'm planning on buying this cd and I think others should too. I'm currently playing the tracks and the cd blows my mind, I just love it!

Even my 14 year old is now hooked!

This is the first time I ever heard Robert Wilson...CD Baby recommended him after I ordered something else because they thought I would like his music, too. His version of "When Doves Cry" (a song I hated when Prince did it) is so good full blast with the car windows down...there's nothing better. Even my 14 year old daughter and her friends think he is the coolest!

Rob Never Disappoints

Robs talent is unquestionable. I went backwards--had Be My Habit first, then this one. Rob sings from his heart and is always great as music in the forefront or background. I play his music at my restaurant in Philadelphia all the time and always have guests asking me 'hey...who's this?'
