From Broadway to Duke Ellington, Cole Porter to Billy Joel,
a funny, wistful, wry selection of songs about looking for love, finding it, losing it and starting over again... and again.
Robin's 3d CD again demonstrates her mastery of different genres and styles. Several creative medleys present familiar songs in a new light, and this album also includes a number of witty songs for which Robin "has the comedy gene" (Rob Lester, www.talkinbroadway.com). These include "'The Last Song,' a great, modern comic vignette about ending a relationship" by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, and the classic, "quirky 'Lime Jello'" by William Bolcom, as well as Lorraine Feather's brilliant "Imaginary Guy," set to a tricky Duke Ellington tune. "Entertaining... funny... charming... haunting... appealing," wrote Rob Lester in his review of this album.
Recorded with David Brunetti, musical director and piano, and Frank Wagner, bass, this is an album that you will listen to often and want to share with friends, for its many moods and colors.
The musical influences in Robin's life have been as varied as Theodore Bikel and Pete Seeger, Edith Piaf and Danny Kaye. In "real life," Robin is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, living in Manhattan. She is the mother of two teenagers and a national account manager at Wilson Learning, a performance improvement and training firm.

A wonderful collection of songs beautifully and emotionally sung.
author: Hans and Doris Grunwald
This performer not only has a beautiful voice, but she also reveals fantastic interpretative abilities by conveying each songs' emotional message to perfection. The differences in interpretation of the French and English versions of Autumn Leaves is remarkable.
