Album Notes

Well, here it FINALLY is! The culmination of over two years planning and hard work is now in the “can” so to speak, and is sitting in the palm of your hand (and hopefully in your CD player). And, even if I say so myself, the results have exceeded my wildest dreams. Those of you who participated don’t need to be reminded of all the obstacles that we encountered that weekend such as it being the wettest (and muddiest) Garlic Festival ever, the smaller (but no less enthusiastic) crowd, getting the van stuck twice, the equipment snafu’s, etc. Still, we ended up with a better recording than I had hoped for, with more than a few surprises. First, the patience and indulgence of you, the audience, in bearing with us throughout the weekend, and participating to such a degree that you would think the crowd was at least twice the size it actually was. Secondly, that my wife could be so patient, understanding, encouraging, helpful and not divorce me through all the setbacks and discouragement’s that we suffered on the way to completion of this project. Also, having to find room for all the good stuff. The end result; while it’s not perfect, it is pretty much the way the whole weekend sorted out, giving you a “taste” of the real thing. I’ll save the rest for the acknowledgements, now it’s time to crack open a bottle, put on the headphones, turn down the lights, press play on the CD player, and lean back and close your eyes----wait!!! Is that a hint of garlic in the air------?
