Album Notes

People's motivation for making music vary - some are after fame & fortune, others want artistic recognition, quite a few are probably after girls (or guys) - now I'm not saying I'd necessarily turn any of those down (apart from the guys) - for me the writing bit happens anyway, whether I like it or not, but my over-riding reason for recording these songs, for spending long and lonely hours and days locked away from humanity, is to try and make them sound just a little bit like I hear them in my head - never quite succeeded, probably never will. But I've got to try.
These 10 songs, as with my previous 2 albums, are a collection of new and old material, the oldest from the late 80s, the newest from autumn 2005. And, as with everything I write, there's a big chunk of me and my view of life stamped through each song, but some of it's there just because it rhymes.

REVIEWS

can't go wrong with this one

Robin Tymm is one of those singer/songwriters who writes great tunes and then apparently only records the best of them. There's not a bad song on this album. My personal favorite on this disc is "Magenta Boulevard". If you like this one, you'll also love his new album (2007). Entitled "Whole Lies & Half Truths", it's some of Robin's best work to date.
