Album Notes

“Touch the Spirit” is an album that EXPLORES in every sense of the word. Each track introduces something totally unique and impacts you in a completely different way both musically and emotionally.

Rob Levit uses his music to engage his audience and show them what is possible when a brilliant musician thinks out side of the box. Creativity and the guitar are the instruments that Levit uses to take his listeners along with him on a journey that stops off at many interesting sights along the way.

On the title track, “Touch the Spirit”, the artist grabs your attention right away with powerful yet peaceful sounds that evoke divine feelings of something beyond what we know as humans. On “The Traveler”, Rob lays down the soundtrack that you hear in your head when you’re trekking around in a strange and foreign land. “The Borderland” features eastern influenced rhythms with Fripp-esque, layered guitar sounds that truly show Levit’s virtuoso talent and ear for music. Other tracks on the album encompass a full range of musical styles that include soft, peaceful, acoustic guitar offerings to fun, lighthearted jaunts that are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

From the first note struck, the listener quickly realizes that Rob Levit is a VERY talented guitarist. His skills allow him to play the most complex scales and arrangements while projecting it all with a calm and relaxing delivery. His ability to create so many different sounds and styles while tying them together in a harmonious fashion really comes through on “Touch the Spirit”.

Three of Rob’s original watercolors make up the striking album art.
