Rob grew up from day one as an audio adventurer with his Dad in the speaker business. He gravitates more towards the philosophical and mystical side of life. This truly shows in his arrangement and message. Most of his songs have real “conclusions” that will give you a sense of total completion…like reading a short story.

Rob vocals have a smooth, velvety richness. He writes his songs so they can relate to anyone on a broad spectrum of emotional and mental levels. As a kid Rob went retro young and immersed himself in his parent's music... the roots of Rock and Roll. In his teens Rob became a huge 60’s psychedelic fan absorbing and covering many bands that came out of the Woodstock Era into 70's Classic Rock. Grunge became his next obsession. Scott Weiland and the Stone Temple Pilots still remain his favorite singer and band…especially their chill work.

Rob considers his acoustic guitar his best friend ever.

An avid listener can tell he's influenced by all types of music. ENJOY a relaxing reflective ride with Rob Lord.

Wow! One listen and I am transported into the realm of introspection, emotion(the full spectrum)passion, admiration and peace! I cant believe all the different places this music takes my mind! Many things cause this-it may be catching a powerful phrase or lyric, it may be the hypnotic, sensual, gruff yet smooth sexy vocals of this artist, it may be the way the songs are written, a bass line, a verse or chorus that feels so new yet so pleasingly familiar I find myself singing it during my day. I still can't decide--all I know is much like many visionaries of the past, such as Jim Morrison, Cat Stevens, Elvis ect, Rob's work WILL carve out it's niche among many music lovers! This is not the rediculous pop of today, nor is it the overproduced sound of The Killers or Coldplay (both whom I love as well) This is something new...The review on Cd baby is fairly accurate, but I must add their is a deeper demension than mentioned. Pleasing to the ear still on my 20th play, yet gets more intelligent with every listen. Congratulations Rob Lord for sharing your vision, love and compassion with the human race!!
