ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Island Boy" Rob Mehl Releases New CD!

With the help of such storied San Diego artists as Eve Selis & Mark Intravaia, Jaime Valle, Tripp Sprague, Allan Phillips, Dennis Caplinger, Mattie Mills, and John Rekevics, San Diego-based musician/surfer Rob Mehl has just released a new cd of alternative island-style music called,"JUST GIVE ME THE KEYS"!

The CD boasts of thirteen cuts that range in style from island jazz to folk-alternative to southern rock, and was produced by Allan Phillips.

Since his music career began in 1972, Rob's been a soft voice, a quiet guitar, palapa tales from beaches all over the world, and eyes as blue as the tropic seas he's sailed that sparkle when he tells the stories.

An outstanding singer/song writer with deep island roots, his music displays a lifetime love affair with the sea and pays tribute to all the artists who have inspired him over the years.

"Locals" from Waikiki to Key West have enjoyed his music, and we hope you'll enjoy these songs as well ... and even imagine sharing in the adventure yourself.

Great Island Music / Boat Music. Like Jimmy Buffett? Get THIS one!
This albumn of all original Island-Style music is absolutely wonderful. Whether stuck in traffic or sailing the seas, this music will take you away. A must-have CD for boaters, it's also great background music for your life. The CD comes with lyrics, liner notes, and more. A great package that's worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give this one a try!!

Give me the Keys... Is sure to please
My wife and I dance at least once a week to the song, When I'm Old.... this CD provides a tremendous opportunity for lovers and friends to enjoy the songs that make the ladies swoon and the gentlemen croon. Rob's talents are rare and true to the joy of life he shares.

A great life purely told!
Just Give Me The Keys is a collection of wonderfully told stories that send you away with a higher comfort level for having heard them. You'll want to visit Cuba and stop in a couple places in Key West on your way down there. You'll want to surf with Dan and find out what the coconut on the back of the Blue Guitar looks like. You'll wish "When I'm Old" had been played at your wedding but mostly, you'll want to know where you can see this guy play live because you've heard the sparkle in those eyes.
