Album Notes

The \"Caprices for Goya\" is a series of works curated on mixed media with piano. The \"Caprices\" are the first installment to be followed by the \"Desperations and Disasters\" series;all in homage to the Spanish painter Franscico Goya and his famous series of etchings and lithographs on the follies of human nature. The Caprices were reconstructed with new lines added on a Korg synthesizer in the manner of the horizontal layering of my seventies works. The \"Mechanized Cock Fight\" from the \"Unquiet Notebook\" is for a metal coil on tape, piano, korg synthesizer and audience on fixed media. Inmates (Yard of Lunatics) is for 5 male voices on tape, one female voice(screaming),simulated Japanese mouth organ and piano. \"The Glass Case of the Hearts Fragility\" and \"Anoxia\" are radio dramas for reciter, piano, clocks and electronic sounds on tape, air pipe, and mandolin with triangle beater. \"Salute Gaetano De Luna\" (Admonishing and Dancing Grandmother)is for Piano, electric organ, simulated harp and orchestral bells with tape. \"Pasquale Cimini in Buffalo\"is for piano, korg synthesizer, and magnetic tape.
