ROCKET RITCHOTTE ** SALUTE

Featuring some of the most searing Guitars Solos we heard in a long time; not to mention Guitar Tones to die for! ROCKETS debut album is a dedication collection of material and performance (hence the CD title) to those guitarist musicians who have inspired his personal love and devotion for the instrument. The album is meticulously recorded and includes some fantastic arrangements.

ROCKET was born in Texas, but grew up in Massachusetts. His father, a well known country guitarist performed at the Grand Old Opry, and taught Rocket guitar at the age of eleven.

R.R. just finished touring with Lou Gramm (Foreigner). His first solo album additionally features former Roth band mates Gregg Bissonette, Ron Wikso, and Brett Tuggle- In addition, Michael Baird (drums), Vince DiCola (Piano & Hammond), Matt Bissonette (Bass) & Tom Lilly (Bass) are also featured.

In addition to his tours and appearances below, Rocket has also done session work and score writing for a number of TV shows, commercials, and movies. He also has made video appearances, including Gregg Bissonette's Instructional Guitar video.

Rocket was Steppenwolf's lead guitarist from 1985 to late 1993. He co-wrote a number of songs on the band's "Rock N Roll Rebels", and "Feed the Fire", releases. He is also featured on the Wolf's excellent double live CD "Live at 25". Prior to joining the Wolf, he was a hot L.A. session guitarist. Rocket was also the guitarist in Cher's band and later joined Black Rose that featured Cher and her then boyfriend, guitarist Les Dudek. Rocket has recorded and toured with David Lee Roth (Van Halen) as well.

If you enjoy great guitar- Electric and Acoustic, with melody and orchestration- - This album is for you.

Wow...great sound and much more great playing...i hope i will hear much more for the future

  • All the incredible tone and emotion that rivals the best guitar players.

The production is first rate. On "Swamp Gumbo" the slide guitar comes off like totally organized chaos...and definitely in the pocket at all times! The melody of "Lazy" is infectious...the rhythm guitar playing is especially superb...I like the contrast expressed by the overdriven lead guitar in the break. "Dancer" - what a great dark and haunting vibe this song has. It's SO tonally deep and complex. The slide guitar playing is incredible and the interactive weaving with lead guitar is the best. My congratulations to you, Rocket and the rest of the production crew & musicians.

  • Rocket Ritchotte takes off with his excellent debut CD Salute
    author: CLASSIC ROCK REVIVAL

I salute Rocket Ritchotte's debut CD. It's the hottest guitarist instrumental CD I've heard in a long time. I can see why artists such as David Lee Roth, Lou Gramm, and Cher (just to name a very few) have used Rocket's talent on their recordings and tours. Rocket was also the lead guitarist for John Kay & Steppenwolf for nine years....what does that tell you? Buy Salute, you won't be sorry!!!!!!
