Album Notes

Layering electronic elements and hip hop break-beats with thundering distorted rock. R*O*C*K*E*T*H*O*U*S*E is noisy, dynamic and ominous but not without hope. Sounds blend, sample, and pulsate rhythmically against a wall of guitar noise. Think Black Rebel Motorcycle Club mashed up with the beats of Public Enemy.
Influences include The Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen, and "Exterminator-era" Primal Scream.
In June 2004, the band worked with producer Bill Racine(Flaming Lips, Rogue Wave)and recorded their first full length album. Weapons of Mass Distortion. We just released our sophomore album Rising Sun on Fabtone Records. It is being distributed in Japan.
Rockethouse is Wade Settle, Gerry Rustic, Andre Sicco, and Robert Bonhomme.

for fans of Kasabian, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Placebo.

I must admit, I had reviewed "Rockethouse" previously for their first record. I was floored at how good it sounded. They strive for a very apocalyptic, dancey and distorted rock sound. The result is very sexy. The new record is a more matured effort. It is produced clearer and the songwriting has expanded into a whirlwind of catchy pop songs that could qualify as evil dance tracks. It is very hard to believe they don't get more attention. These guys bring enough hits to a record, that should make other similiar band(see Kasabian, Black Rebel motorcycle club)hang their head in shame.
