Album Notes

After being part of the new Jim Donovan movie “3 Saisons” (coming out this fall) and after winning the print of a single at the SMIQ’s last edition, (both songs, “California”, and “Stay Over Night” are available on their webpage www.myspace.com/rocketsaway) Rockets Away are ready, with their new 9 songs EP “Blast Off!”, to conquer Canada in august in company of Montreal’s own punk legends Ripcordz. 26 concerts in 26 days, it’s going to be one hell of a ride!

By the way, their adventures filled with anthropological discoveries, dirty little secrets, humour for the initiate and disguised publicity with no relation with the truth will be available as a blog on www.bangbangtemort.com, web site of the new cultural French newspaper Bang Bang.

Formed by Alexandre Gauthier, guitar and vocal (also bassist in the Ripcordz), the band really started to take form in September 2006 with the addition of Ryan Stick on bass and vocal (ex-Judgmental) and Marc-André Pilon on drums and vocals (ex-Ordures Ioniques, Les Saints), confirming their status as a new local “All-Stars” group and becoming in the process the new power-pop-punk band on the rise that you will need to keep an eye on. To get acquainted with that wild bunch, don’t miss their funny videos “Rocket Files”, available on their Myspace and YouTube.

The Montreal record launch of their new EP “Blast Off!”, produced by René Garcia (The Brains, Gutter Demons, The Shifters), will be released at Café Campus on the 22th of September 2007 with Maximum Rock N” Roll. A night not to be missed!
