FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WILD HARE RECORDS RELEASES SECOND EPIC CD FOR 2006
Wild Hare Records, just may be onto something. Earlier this year, Wild Hare Records embarked on a new mission. Their mission was to allow even more artists to be a part of Wild Hare’s growing success. Wild Hare felt that compilations are a good way for artists to get their music heard and to bring a great value to the roots rock community by offering over an hours worth of music for one low price. Each artist gets at least 5 songs on the CD compared to 1 or 2 on other compilations.
In May, Wild Hare Records released Ain’t Rocket Science 101. This mammoth release included 5 different artists, 27 songs and 67 minutes of music. The release ran the gambit form hillbilly to rockabilly to 50's raw rock n roll. This CD has been a huge success garnering accolades from music professionals all over the globe.
Today, December 5, 2006, Wild Hare Records is proud to announce it’s next release in the compilation series: Ain’t Rocket Science 202. And what a release it is!!! Featuring both old and new talent, this CD focuses more on Roots Rock and Rockabilly with just a dash of Hillbilly thrown in.
In this CD, you will find 4 great artists . And they are: Amber Lee- new to the stage, Jerry King and His Falls City Boys- established talent with new band, Joe Penny- Hank Williams sideman and Federal records rock n roller, Screamin’ Scotty- our version of Johnny Carroll. The CD contains 27 tracks and is 69 minutes long.
As with all of our releases, we do all of the recording in a vintage- all analog studio utilizing vintage gear and equipment. No tracking, no overdubs, just raw in your face 50's style recordings.
The CD can be purchased at CD Baby and Amazon.com as well as from the artists themselves. Wholesale lots can be purchased directly from Wild Hare.

Wild Hare Records WH 06004 – CD
„It Ainґt Rocket Science Vol 2 „
Itґs always a pleasure to hear some new recordings from one of my favorite American labels, Wild Hare Records. Let me tell you kats and kittens, this compilation really blew me away, what killer stuff!! The first seven tacks were recorded by Amber Lee, which I never heard of before. Boy, what a cracker!! This girl really rocks in an authentic 50s style, reminds me a lot of Laura Lee Perkins. Her guitar playing is excellent, great songwriting and her voice is just brilliant, pure authentic 50s Rockabilly and wild RockґnґRoll. To be honest, this is the best girl rocker from the states I ever heard. Amber, be sure to record more stuff soon!!!!!
What a starter for the CD! After Amber you will find brand new recordings from one of my favorite US Rockabilly singers Jerry King. I really liked the stuff he did with his old band, but for these recordings he used his new band „The Falls City Boys" to get a much more raw and unpolished Hillbilly influenced mid 50ґs Rockabilly sound. The results of this recording session is fanstastic: Just listen to the killer bopper „Long Haul Trucker", and you will have to buy the CD!
Next artist is the legendary Joe Penny, heґs in his 70s now but boy what a voice. Unbelievable, that the played guitar for my alltime hero Mr. Hank Williams and in the 50s he recorded the Rockabilly classic „Bip A Little, Bop A Lot! I really would love to see Joe playing at the next Rockabilly Rave. His voice is still brilliant, his songwriting is extremely kool and rockinґ and his backinґ band is fantastic: „Slim Jim Sadie" for example rocks like hell!! Six kool and rockinґtracks, the only cover songs is his version of Hanks „Jambalaya".
Another new name to us European kats and kittens is ScreaminґScotty. He is belting out his wild, authentic 50s Rockabilly on the last seven number of the CD. Thereґs great songwriting on this killer recordings, just listen to the big Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps influence in „A Singel Tear" and „I ґd Want Your LovinґAnyway". The raw mid 50s bopper „My Puddin Pie" or the wild late 50s Rocker „Donґt Talk Back!",are killer!!!
Kats and Kittens, do yourself a favour, hurry on down to your local rockinґshop and buy this CDbecause killer compiltations of current rockinґbands donґt come too often.
