Album Notes

"Shut Up and Work It" is a record by a "local" Chicago band about working a job you hate to play the music you love. This record will find a warm spot in the hearts of all "local" musicians.
The Music sounds like the following bands dumped into a blender and pulverized to hell. Dinosaur Jr., The Relacements, old soul asylum, old nirvana, Sonic Youth, Uncle Tupelo, Led Zeppelin, Kiss..
The lyrics are about the struggle between the RocknRoll Dream and the Johnny Lunch Box Shut up and go to work every day life existence.

Wholly Original
author: MARK GUARINO - Daily Herald - Chicago
With maximum R&B no longer practiced by The Who, these Chicago power rockers are an able substitute. RSC's third album once more demonstrates why this foursome remains one of the most fascinating bands in Chicago. While most songwriters bend facts with fiction, the songs of Paul Kasprzak are pure gonzo autobiography, namechecking local bars, streets and celebrities in a trustworthy guise for making great rock - the relentless underdog working out his frustration with volume and madcap energy. The songs stream together like slice of life vignettes in the ongoing story of a pharmacist by day, working class rocker by night. Wondering why he's got to work for a living while celebrity poseurs parade inside a local club ("Kid Rock") or have to hire flunkies to baby-sit their dog ("Billy Corgan's Poodle"), Kasprzak injects his catchy and robust Midwestern rock with a passion for music and the making of music that is wholly original.

Great CD that just plain rocks. No whiny nu-metal garbage. No crappy pop-punk. Just good rock n roll!

Rock Star Club for the Working Man
author: Vincent Francone
With so many other bands recycling their old material or mining the fads of the seventies, a band like Rock Star Club is a miracle. They put songs first and offer a collection of infectious material based on sincerity and a love of music. Their music delivers the listener to a wonderful new place rarely found elsewhere.
