ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
THE MISSION: Rock Stars Of America is dedicated to bringing back Rock as we remember from the classic radio days with an original modern sound. We believe in the right to ROCK and be mellow.

THE BIOGRAPHY OF THE ROCK STARS OF AMERICA The story begins when childhood friends Bart Griggs and Rob Coren, who grew up in the same Long Island neighborhood, began a musical bond that has lasted many years. Rob was known as a talented musician excelling and winning awards throughout his youth as a percussionist. Bart, a self-taught guitarist, began writing songs inspired by his exposure to musical legends and bands that were to shape and influence his ideas. Armed with years of practice and live band experience Bart and Rob were ready to release a collection of songs. Seeking to add musicians to the project Bart and Rob met Marc Kronenberg, a keyboardist, who enhanced their sound and later assisted in the mixing of the project. Soon after, Marc introduced Bart and Rob to Richard Charschan a lead guitarist who possessed both skill and creativity. Richard's experience as a record company A & R representative (EMI-AMERICA and Manhattan Records) helped bring focus to the arrangements for their first album. By fate, Bart and Rob crossed paths with famed producer Jim Bonnefond (Kool & the Gang, Savage Garden, Jimmy Cliff, Steve Gadd and many others). Together the "Rock Stars of America" began to record their first CD entitled "Rock Star Headquarters." Jim believed they had a sound that was inventive, yet reminiscent of the melodic hooks and harmonies of classic rock. Assisting Jim early on was Engineer Dan Grigsby (Keith Richards and Paula Abdul among others) who helped set the tone of the band in the studio. Sterling Sound's Mastering Legend Ted Jensen (Green Day, The Eagles, The Police, Billy Joel, Cat Stevens, Pete Townshend, Norah Jones and countless others) was brought in to put the finishing touches on the album. RSoA hopes to restore pure, honest rock originality back to the music scene.

Rock Stars of America -- WOW!!!
This album is a classic. Everytime I listen to it, the better it gets. A great album from start to finish. When I play it, before you know it, its over. Well, I'll just have to play it again. It is addictive. A must have for any rocker. I'm waiting for a second album.
