Rocky was born into the music scene thru his fathers band, The Padilla Bros. He started playing Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Drums, and Percussion for his dads band at the early age of 10, performing throughout Southern California since the early 70's. Rocky found himself playing every weekend for the next 11 years.

In 1984 Rocky was introduced to Bill Walker, (Thump Records), and was given the opportunity to record music in various studios in Los Angeles. Next he teamed up with Lowrider Magazine in 1989, and it was then when he started touring cities such as Miami, Hawaii, Colorado, Texas, Arizona and many more. By 1992 Rocky brought his first CD out entitled (Tribute to the Oldies).

Next he teamed up with his brother Danny Padilla, His cousin Brian (Chaz) Padilla and his high school buddy George Estrada , performing under the name Hispanic M.C.’s. That was when they struck gold with the group WAR, who then asked Rocky to go on tour and eventually recording 2 songs together. They toured the East Coast and West Coast for the next 2 years, While working on bringing out 2 more CD’s.

2006 was the year Rocky brought out his fourth CD, R&B Legend Of The Underground on Universal Records, Leading to his 5th CD entitled “ROCKY PADILLA, Raider Nation”.

In 2007 he then started touring with artist such as Tierra, El Chicano, Brenton Wood, Malo, Joe Bataan, Sly, Slick & Wicked, Intruders, Barbara Mason, The Temprees, The Midnighters and The Delfonics to name a few performing various casinos and venues throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.
