ROD MY Problems,My Solutions I was born Roderick Leander Holmes, in a small town called Louisville, south of Memphis (M-Town) Tenn. Over the years as a wild child, I learned my way around the world by being older than my actual age. Form the inspiration of my family, I was a choirboy and a Prodigy of band and chorale, I learned to take my musical talents and make it my punching bag of life. I learned to improve my musical talents by idolizing classic singers such as Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, and the list goes on and on. Even though my school days were filled with parties, girls, and passing grades, I still couldn't find my click (purpose) in life, so I joined the United States Air Force. There I learned discipline, love, dedication, courage, and a drive to do anything. While undergoing training as a Ground Combat Security Forces soldier, the life was hard. Woods, rain, snow, and a weary feeling of deafness from gunshots led me to meet Brian (K.B.) Armstrong; a soldier just like me. Together, that producer / artist relationship enabled me to express my real feelings. Even though my family was the love of my life, I still, with God's help, Had to show the world that I still had Problems, but Solutions to any Damn Thang! "My Problems/My Solutions" is a musical blend of jazz, hip hop, and R&B concepts. My music is my way out of so many situations in life. Each song describes my different situations that I have encountered over the years. From being cheated on, lied to, pimped, and fooled from every blind side of my well being, I feel as if though this album is my open door to my feelings. I feel that everything that I sing about on this album can be related to everyone, both men and women that are different in every way imaginable. I want everyone to have the faith that everything that happens in a relationship, either bad or good, has a solution that can make or break feelings. The problem is that, you have to be man/woman enough to have a technique of handling your emotions; but that's the theme of my second Album I'm working on "Trouble don't Last" with K.B.!
