ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"There must be a lot of monkey bars and turbo-tube slides in DeGeorge's playground. It's fun to zoom through all the melodies, wah stabs, keyboard flurries, shred bits and harmony solos, and then collapse with giddy exhaustion." - Guitar Player magazine

"If there's justice in the world, Rod DeGeorge will be one of the brightest stars amongst 21st century new guitar heroes. This is one of the hottest guitar instrumental records in the last few years. A must buy for shred fans, no doubt about it!" - 10 out of 10 points, Gyorgy Danev, HammerWorld Magazine Hungary

"If shred's your thing, check out this adventurous young fella:" "his playing is very exciting, and his technical proficiency is quite admirable" - Elliott Randall (Steely Dan/Solo Artist)

Rod DeGeorge is by far one of the most prolific talents I have come across in a long time. His highly advanced themes are; at times, hauntingly beautiful and others as if you were flying through the sky on the wings of angels. His international flavor is sure to become a heavy influence on future artists for years to come... - Model Gourmet Twisted Voice

"Cosmic Playground is one of the cleanest, most melodic and inspiring solo instrumental guitar releases in years!" - Matthew Hoffman HardRock Haven

"Rod DeGeorge has the potential to be a big guitar hero like Steve Vai or John Petrucci. Points: 15/10 (no, not 10/15!!!)" - Guitarrenblog.de (German guitar site)

Rod has been a full time musician for over a decade and has endorsement deals with Gibson Guitars and Dunlop Guitar Accessories. He currently performs 3-5 nights a week throughout the northeastern United States.

Along with performing, he also keeps busy in his home studio. His original compositions, as well as his production and arrangement skills, have been used by The United Way, The United States Census Bureau, local cable programming and most recently, featured in the film Butterflies in the Wind. He has also done session work for many musicians, including Craig MacGregor, former bassist for the ‘70’s platinum selling band Foghat.

His songwriting abilities have gained the interest of artists from Sony and Motown Records as well as labels in Canada and Australia. Rod has been described as, “One of the most talented songwriters in the area” by Berks Alive and “A local legend, a brilliant guitarist as well as a fine songwriter” by the Reading Eagle.

Here are some other words used to decribe his music and playing.

"THEN THERE WAS ROD DEGEORGE'S LEGENDARY PLAYING THAT I'D HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT AND FINALLY GOT TO SEE, & YES, HE'S AS GOOD AS THE RUMORS AND THEN SOME.” Cindy Ruttolo-Dietrich, PA musician

"DEGEORGE'S GUITAR WORK IS NOTHING SHORT OF MAGNIFICENT AND HIS SONGS HAVE INTERESTING AND INVENTIVE CHORD STRUCTURE CHANGES"-Jim Speese, Reading Eagle
