ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From his early days being forced to practice piano every day (much to his dismay), until now when sitting down to play is the best medicine to relieve stress and to feel the calm his soul cries out for, music has been deeply ingrained in Rod Stewart. Working with local talent in concert venues has brought to him its own rewards, but writing, composing, and producing his own music proved so much more satisfying. If it’s true, “You get out of it what you put into it,” then love and pure emotionalism should be the by-products of these offerings.

If a hint of that good ol’ gospel flavor sneaks through here and there, it’s only a revealing of Rod’s church foundation and up\bringing. Smooth and contemporary best describe his timbre with a bit of funk tossed in for kicks and giggles. Treasure Chest and By Candlelight ... two solo projects, two different facets of Rod that will escort you on a sonic journey. Along the way, your head will bob, your feet will tap to the rhythm, and you will sometimes just close your eyes and drink in sweet melodies. That’s just how he does it. Peace!
