Album Notes

Since I was the son of a preacher man, I was introduced to gospel music as a small child. I was made by my parents to take piano lessons at a very young age. (Hated it!) All my buddies were outside after school playing ball, and there I was practicing at the piano. (Boring!) In fact, all the kids in the family were made to take piano lessons, including cousins. Every one of them was allowed to quit - except me. Go figure. Anyway, I decided that if I had to do it, at least I'd try to be good at it.

Later on as I matured musically, I found myself gravitating toward the jazz artists - people like George Duke, Joe Sample, Bobby Lyle, and others. I said to myself, "These cats can play!" And I wanted to be like them. I'm not on their level, but they definitely influenced me along the way.

God is Numero Uno in my life, and gospel music is my calling. But, I enjoy good music, no matter what the genre. Thanks be unto God, I'm here today trying to share my music with anyone who lends an ear.

That's it in a nutshell, Peeps! Hope you enjoy.
