Since his youth, guitarist Roger Filgate has played in numerous bands from New York to Los Angeles.
During the ’90s he joined the legendary British rock group, Wishbone Ash. Having recorded several albums
including fan favorite “Illuminations,” as both guitarist and songwriter, he toured the world extensively.
This led to sharing the stage with such artists as: Santana, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Guns & Roses, Yes,
Blue Oyster Cult, and many more.

In addition to CDs from original bands Cinema and Blast Room, Roger has also recorded and made guest
appearances with various name artists. Among them, the 2007 Top-40 single ‘Knock Down The Walls,’ by
legendary singer Chubby Checker, which features a notable guitar solo by Filgate.

His 2008 solo CD ‘Worlds Within’ is an all-instrumental album that has received critical acclaim from such
prestigious magazines as Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, Music Web Express 3000, several songs from which
have appeared as soundtrack music for major networks including A&E’s ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ and
Disney/Pixar’s ‘World of Cars’ resulting in sales, radio and web play in more than twenty countries worldwide.

Regarded as a guitar virtuoso, Filgate’s songs showcase the versatility, tones, technique, and passionate playing
style for which he is internationally known. Along with his band-mates, he delivers a riveting live set of dynamic
originals and brilliant classic rock arrangements that is winning audiences over at every performance

Perhaps summed up best by a quote from Vintage Guitar magazine, “sounds like an army of guitarists at work,
not just one,” the listener is treated to a sonic journey into classic rock, blues, progressive-rock, jazz, country,
and more. “Worlds Within” is a unique variety of world-class guitar playing, mature and well structured melodic
songs, the likes of which are not to be found elsewhere ~
