Album Notes

Roger has worked with the likes of Willie Nelson, Junior Brown, Del McCoury, and Delbert McClinton.

While Roger's spent a great deal of time backing the songs of others he has recently changed gears from sideman to frontman.

To Roger Marin the vision of white lines on a highway is a very familiar sight. Raised by his musician father, Roger saw several different schools throughout his childhood and grew accustomed to new places.

By the time Roger had turned thirteen he had already played his first gig. Performing alongside his father and uncle, he would be forced to wait in the kitchen between sets because he was too young to be in the bar. It was an excellent opportunity to learn his chops though and it left him with a passion to be a musician.

Roger covered mile after mile with the Fred Eaglesmith band where he played the electric and pedal steel guitars. On the Eaglesmith bus, Marin once again found himself learning his chops, though this time as a songwriter. In fact, co-writes with Adam Carroll, mark Jungers and Fred Eagelsmtih appear on the new CD "High Roads".

Marin is no stranger to the rough men and tough lifestyle he writes about. A mechanic himself, he has spent his fair share of time masked in grease and was even been known to crawl under the Eaglesmith bus on occasions when it broke down.

These days, Roger has his own travel plans to arrange. With the release of "Roger Marin" he will be touring with his own band - Phil Bosley (bass/vocals) Matt Keighan (drums/vocals) and Rod Standish (guitar/vocals).

It's not just the miles under Roger's shoes that measure how far he's come.
