Album Notes

"We make real music, for real people"

Formed in 2003, Roleo and EDS are an up and coming force in the Midwest hip hop scene. Roleo handles the rhymes for the group and EDS handles the Production/DJ duties.

Roleo's rhyme style is straightforward and deals mostly with the plight of the common 20 something man in today's society. Working a 9 to 5 job, maintaining a stable mind, women issues, as well as raising a young son are all topics that frequently appear in his work. He is also at home flexing his battle MC skills and letting everyone know his microphone prowess is not delegated to just 'life rap'. Roleo was a member of the group Boo-B Trap years before forming this group with EDS, and had done shows with them locally as well as out of state venues.

EDS's sound is all his own. Delving into abstract as well as straightforward funky sounds he brings different feel to his production than has been heard in Fort Wayne thus far. He provides Roleo with beats to back his rhymes for whatever mood they might be. He also does instrumental solo tracks that move toward setting a mood for listener whether it be a spaced out mood, an upbeat one, or just an overall hard banging track. Although fairly new to the turntables (yet constantly improving) EDS also incorporates DJing in to his repertoire for his music often using samples and scratches to accompany both his tracks for emcees, as well as his instrumental tracks.

Since forming the group, their partnership has proven to be very productive. In early 2004 they released a 4-song sampler and have now released their first full-length album, The Nerve Calmer. EDS has also released an instrumental album, Outbreak, also available on cdbaby.com.

working class music
author: brainstorm
this is music for working class people who need a "nerve calmer" at the end of the day to relieve stress and return to the sanctity of their homes... this album is full of midwest values - including working hard, taking care of family, partying, and smashin' sucka emcees... roleo showcases his storytelling skills as well as letting emcees know he can battle when it comes down to it... eds holds the vibe throughout the album, speaking only with his hands in true dj fashion... the result is better than any drink or drug... its the nerve calmer...
