Album Notes

Jeff Rolka

Rhythmic and groovy, well written songs in a radio friendly format. Jeff Rolka is one of the new breed of singer/songwriters gracing stages across the world. Jack Johnson, John Mayer, and Duncan Sheik come to mind while enjoying Jeff in performance.

The California based singer/songwriter has something for everyone. When with the band, their high energy shows seamlessly blend rootsy americana rockers with lighter offerings. When appearing solo acoustic, Jeff adapts to the revealing setting by turning up the heat on his vocal performance, coaxing rich overtones out of his resonant tenor voice.

Since releasing DANDELION, the group's debut release, Jeff, Leo, and Michael haven't stopped surfing their momentum. Offered a six month residency at The Red Devil Lounge's Viv and a Movie, Jeff and the band are using this unique opportunity to reach as many new fans as possible.

Jeff Rolka has shared the stage with the likes of The Rich McCulley Band, Transmission, Swirl, and American Hit List. The band looks forward to shows in the Bay Area as well as in the Pacific Northwest Region. This summer will find Jeff hitting the road solo acoustic, as he takes his act to venues from Oakland, CA to The Big Apple!

Based in Oakland, California, the usual suspects are:

Leo Tallman plays the drums.
Michael Leonard Woods plays the guitars.
Jeff Rolka is the Lord of the Low tones, he plays the bass and sings.

When Jeff is solo, he accompanies himself with a Martin acoustic-electric guitar.

Jeff Rolka has a new sound with old roots says Rich McCulley:

Jeff and his band were very tight and professional. The music had a fresh sound, different than most of the stuff right now in rock. A real genuine feel.

Jeff and the band look forward to rocking your house.
