Album Notes

Denise shares her views on life and love in her originals and interpretations of traditionals such as "The Water is Wide". She also offers her own styling of the Zombies' classic "She's Not There".

With her sound in the good hands of engineers Patrick O'Rourke (www.patrickorourke.com) and Larry Moser, listeners will be able to appreciate Denise's crystal clear voice and rich acoustic guitar. Offering their talents on some songs are fellow Long Island musicians, Lora Kendall, Robert Langley, Charlie Mingoia, Bill Davis, Larry Moser and Matt Zebrowski. Some backing vocals were provided by the infamous "Me, Myself and I Sisters". :)

Denise's songs are known to tug at the heartstrings-especially "TEACHER" (inspired by her role as elementary Music Teacher) and "PASSING THE TORCH" (inspired by her role as Mom to one son) She also offers the gentle, "LETTING GO", encouraging us to release the fears that hold us back from living our lives fully. "A HEALING ANGEL", Denise's previously released CD Single makes an appearance on this CD, continuing to offer comfort to aching hearts.

BONUS TRACK: A tribute to Denise's late parents, who, when she was little, often gathered the family around a 'new-fangled' tape recorder (with small round reels!) with Dad on accordion, Mom on zither and 2 sisters singing. This track is from one of these very 'sessions' which captured 9-year old Denise.
