Album Notes

The BIO Of ROME GOTTI

It’s not easy as it use to be…
These day’s to become a multi-million dollar rapper, you have to have the whole package. Being talented and lyrical is just not enough anymore. You must have attitude, street credit, swagger, energy and a distinctive sound that stands out from the rest. You have to make the women love you and the boys from the hood beg for mercy. You have to look the part, act the part and love the past / keep your head straight on your shoulders 2 secure your place on the top. If you combine all of these things , you would think you have created today’s perfect Rap superstar. And that’s exactly what Rome Gotti brings to the hip-hop world on his debut album Hostile Take Over!
“PERFECTION “
Randy Torrance (AKA) Rome Gotti was born and raised in
Little Rock Arkansas, until age 9 when his mother decided to make a play at a better life for her children by moving her family to Milwaukee, WI (BKA) as Murda-Mil. Rome G had what you might call an average childhood, exposed to things like, drugs, liquor, guns, sex, and the occasional robbery, life in the big city was if anything interesting. The police were always terrorizing the older guys in the hood because of the drug trade and the money that was made. All of this intrigued young Gotti, and he began to look at these guys as role models. So began his entrance into the street life. By the age of 12 he had is own street gang, hanging out in the alleys with the O.G.’s ,shooting dice and talking shit. He got a little rep for being down. The O.G’s called him “Rome” because they said that he thought that he could build an empire in one day! They told him to slow down because with a plan, anything is possible. Shit! Rome wasn’t build in a day…But one day he would take this Rap shit and make millions.
The year is 1999 and Rome Gotti hooks up with P.Luchino, G. Conpone and started a group called Crime Factory and spent much of 2000 slanging CD’s across the country. During a visit to Mississippi . They recorded with the rap groups The Kin Folks and The South Mobb, who was making a lot of noise down south. They were approached by a local promoter by the name of Steve Smoove who dug their gritty and melodic street anthems. He offered them a 30 city tour with the Major Recording label Rap-A- Lot Records. The deal was done, they almost made it! But before they could start the tour Rome was arrested in Milwaukee for delivery, manufacturing, and distributing crack cocaine and was sentence to 3 years in prison .
Back on the streets by the summer of 2002 and parole looming over his head. Gotti played it cool and made slow money, but super hot music in the studio. They instantly caught the eye of 2 designer engineers. They liked the music and offered to pay for the new album and the promotions as long as the group stayed out of trouble. Everything was going perfect, advertising in the source and Double XXL, Opening on tour for snoop and Dre, a new clothing line and designer blunts called Uncle Poo. Rome Gotti was primed and ready for success. They started to learn more about the business and rub shoulders with major labels coming to the city and before long , after selling 7000 cd’s regional the phone started to ring and offers started pouring in. Rome Gotti along with Lamont Williams and Cliff Turner started a company GN/JD. Artist like Reno The Don, Nena Slim, Eastwood, O.C., Big Smokie, and the Infamous K.G.B. With a line up like this, plus the up coming Rome Gotti solo album, they had the city on lockdown. I guess the next move is check mate. The record labels were biting and we were fishing. Until on memorial day weekend 2003 Rome Gotti, along with his girl friend were nearly fatally shot out side of his studio. And by the grace of god n they lived, and the rest is history.
Now!!! The year is 2008 and we give you Rome Gotti the next Rap superstar. Take a listen/buy the whole album, or just purchase you a single download. But whatever the case if you are looking for that straight Gangster Rap shit, that shit you know to be true from state 2 state, then get wit your boy! Rome Gotti and check out the Hostile Take Over!!!
But if your looking for that lollypop , sugar coated, paper gangsta bull shit then your in the wrong place!
