Album Notes

An eclectic mix of primitive Americana, Flusteration showcases Robert ‘One-Man’ Johnson’s live multi-instrumental presentation augmented by studio musicians from Japan and America. Basic tracks were recorded in Iowa City, then the digital information was sent to Japan where Naoyuki Ishishiro added an intriguing variety of guitar tracks. Johnson then flew to Nagoya to record a bi-lingual duet with local country-folk singer Koichiro Taniguchi. One-Man returned to the US for finishing tracks by local guitar-hero Dennis McMurrin and percussionist Tiit Raid.

The songs illustrate a humorous take on modern life, the complexities of relationships, aging and its impact, financial consternation, and even a nuclear protest tune.
