Album Notes

ABOUT THE ALBUM
When I sat down and decided to put this CD project together I was fortunate to select from a large collection of songs I have written over the past 6 years. Having performed my songs for sometime now I have become emotionally vested in many of these 'children' for various reasons. These children each tell a story that I think you should hear.
As a performer it is very easy to slip into the comfort of well-honed crowd pleasers and yet as an artist I am compelled to express my thoughts and ideas without any pretence or candy coating. And out of this need for expression 'half' was born.
I have recorded this in my living room without any harmonies, bass, or drums. Just me and my guitar playing these songs as they were originally written.
So here they are; eight little children waiting for you to take them in.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ron Dalton is a Seattle based singer songwriter incorporating significant elements of modern folk, blues and jazz, fused with lyrics that are full of imagery,
evident in many meaningful personal ballads. Ron has won awards as a performing songwriter in two national singer/songwriter competitions and continues to develop as a songwriter. When he performs all eyes are on him as he captivates the imagination of the room, communicating vivid portraits of children, life and love with tenderness and wit. His voice is a powerhouse with an incredible range and control.

QUOTE
"It is the quiet sense of humor, the sense of balance and gentle humility, which gives Dalton's songs and performances a kind of grace that sets them apart."
