Album Notes

Ron Hart received his BFA in Music Composition from Ohio University and did his post-graduate work at UCLA in Film Scoring during the mid ‘70’s. Ron has played with a variety of music artists, beginning at age 19 with Dionne Warwick. His work as a jazz pianist continued with saxophonist Sonny Stitt, bebop guitarist Bill deArango (Dizzy Gillespie, Ben Webster), trumpeter Harry “Sweets” Edison (Count Basie, Ben Webster), bassist Larry Klein (Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard), drummer E.W. Wainwright (McCoy Tyner), and co-led a jazz fusion group that released the "Dancing Moments" vinyl LP on ShadlowLight Records in 1982.
The music on The Light Beyond the Atoms CD has been digitally remastered. The grand piano throughout the album was recorded at two live concerts. Synthesizer was later added to the piano recordings to create the musical suite on this CD. The four movements of the suite center around four soul qualities: compassion, purity, bliss and perseverance.
Stephen Hill of Hearts of Space online broadcasting station of New Age music wrote in their catalogue about The Light Beyond the Atoms: “This is the piano and synthesizer album we’ve been waiting for . . . Ron Hart combines the virtuosity and soulfulness of Keith Jarrett with the softness and warmth of romantic classical music . . . The lyricism and balance of this music is very appealing. You’ll find yourself returning to Ron Hart’s music again and again.”
Two additional CD’s on which Ron is featured are available on the Self-Realization Fellowship label: The Divine Gypsy (1997) and Where Golden Dreams Dwell (2003).
